One sea day and a big appetite for places? The eleven-islands day does Phang Nga Bay, the Krabi islands and Phi Phi together — about fourteen hours door to door, stops short. If the famous bays are the point and you want time in the water, book a Phi Phi day instead; it is back by mid-afternoon or early evening.

What does the eleven-islands day actually cover?
Honestly, a lot. Breakfast at Royal Phuket Marina at half past seven, boat at nine. Then Phang Nga Bay at speed: Panak island, the Ice Cream cave (low tide only), James Bond island at 10:20, kayaks through the mangroves at Talu, lunch on stilts in Panyi. Krabi after lunch — Lao Lading for a swim at 12:50, Hong island and its viewpoint at two. Care more about the rock than the miles? Phi Phi is saved for last, from about four, when the day boats have gone: Monkey Beach, the Viking Cave, Maya Bay at 16:30, Pileh Lagoon at 17:20 if the tide allows. Wine and ice cream at the pier at 18:40. Hotel around eight.
And a Phi Phi day?
Fewer places, more time in each. Phi Phi, Maya Bay and Khai island: pickup at 07:30, Khai at 09:45 for the easiest first snorkel, Monkey Beach, a buffet lunch on Phi Phi Don, the Viking Cave and Pileh Lagoon after one, Maya Bay at 15:15, back at Chalong around 16:15. The sunrise version is in Maya Bay from seven to eight and back at 15:30; the catamaran reaches Maya Bay after four and ends with a sunset, back at 19:00. Before choosing the catamaran, read who it suits and who should skip it. Whichever you pick, check first: is Maya Bay open on your date? The Phi Phi day with Khai island starts with an easy snorkel, compared with Racha Yai on Khai island or Racha Yai for snorkelling.
Why does the eleven-islands day reach Phi Phi so late?
On purpose. The card says it straight: by four in the afternoon the day boats have left, so Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon are quiet. The route is built around that — Phang Nga and Krabi in the busy hours, Phi Phi when it empties.
The price of it is the length. Take something for seasickness if you are prone to it; the card advises exactly that.
Who is each one for?
Eleven islands: people with limited time who would otherwise have to choose between Phang Nga, Krabi and Phi Phi, and who have the energy for a very long day. The card itself says that with a week on the island, two separate trips are more relaxed — and that for small children it is too much.
Phi Phi: first-timers who want the famous bays properly, families, snorkellers, anyone who prefers a shorter day. Add James Bond island on another day if you want the cliffs too.
What is included on each?
Eleven islands: coach transfer, the boat for the whole route, a full breakfast at the pier, lunch at the floating village, park fees, soft drinks, fruit and snacks, accident insurance, a guide, jackets in all sizes, masks and snorkels, towels, mouthpieces, Wi-Fi and wine and ice cream on return. How much time do you get at each stop?
On the eleven-islands morning, the stops come every ten to forty minutes: Panak at 09:30, the Ice Cream cave at 09:40, James Bond island at 10:20, Talu at 11:00, Panyi at 11:40. Lao Lading gets about an hour, Hong island about two, and the Phi Phi part runs from 16:00 to around 18:00. Which is better value?
Per place, the eleven-islands day — Phang Nga, Krabi and Phi Phi for one price. Per hour in the water, a Phi Phi day. Compare the current prices in the table below; the difference reflects the length of the day, the breakfast at the pier and the Wi-Fi, towels and wine and ice cream included on the long run. Is there a middle way?
Two days. Four pearls and Five pearls cover Phang Nga Bay and Krabi on day one, sleep on Phi Phi Don, and do Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon the next morning — the same regions at half the pace, with a hotel night, dinner and breakfast included.
