Phi Phi at sunrise: Maya Bay before the crowds
Sunrise at sea, the famous bay at seven in the morning, Pileh Lagoon, snorkelling and Bamboo island
The whole point of this one is the hour you arrive. The boat leaves in the dark, the sun comes up while you are in open water, and you walk into Maya Bay around seven — before the day boats, with the beach close to empty. The rest of the day is the full archipelago: Pileh Lagoon, the Viking Cave, a snorkelling stop, Monkey Beach, the viewpoint and lunch on Phi Phi Don, and Bamboo island in the afternoon. You are back on Phuket by mid-afternoon.

Questions we get asked
Is it worth getting up at four?
That is the whole product. Arriving at Maya Bay around seven means a beach with a handful of people on it instead of several hundred, and photographs you cannot take at midday.
Will I be cold?
In open water before sunrise, yes — bring a hoodie or a light jacket. By eight in the morning you will have forgotten about it.
Is this tour hard with small children?
The early start is the difficult part rather than the day itself. Children usually sleep through the transfer and the first leg on the boat.
