Five pearls of the Andaman Sea: two days, three regions
James Bond island, the Krabi islands and Phi Phi, with a night on Phi Phi Don
Two days is what it takes to see the Andaman Sea properly, because the good islands are spread across three provinces. Day one goes through Phang Nga Bay — Panak island and its caves, James Bond island, canoeing in the mangroves, lunch in the sea gypsy village — and on into Krabi, with Lao Lading and the Hong island viewpoint, ending at a hotel on Phi Phi Don. The evening is the part nobody expects: dinner, a fire show on the sand, and swimming in plankton that glows in the dark. Day two is Phi Phi Leh, Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, snorkelling and Bamboo island on the way home.

Questions we get asked
What is the hotel on Phi Phi Don like?
A comfortable island hotel near the beach, booked as part of the tour. Dinner with wine and breakfast the next morning are included in the price.
Is the night out compulsory?
Not at all. The fire show happens on the beach in front of the hotel, and the plankton swim and the bars are there if you want them. Plenty of people go to bed after dinner.
Do we carry luggage around all day?
You bring one small bag for the night on Phi Phi Don. It stays on the boat during the day stops and goes to the hotel with you in the evening.
