How Long Do Phuket Tours Last?

Most of our Phuket tours are full days of eight to ten hours from hotel pickup to drop-off. The shortest are the four-hour jet ski tour and the Coral island half day, back at the pier by 14:00; the longest day trips are the Similans at about twelve hours and the eleven-islands run at about fourteen.

Which tours are short?
Jet ski tour: four hours, 09:00 to 12:45 at AA Marina pier, no hotel transfer. Coral island from Rawai: meet at 08:30, back at the pier at 14:00. The Phuket sightseeing tour: about six hours, pickup at 08:45, back around 15:00. The skywalk sunrise trip: long in the morning, but back at the hotel around 13:00. What does a normal full day look like?
Eight to ten hours. Racha and Coral by speedboat: pickup 08:00–08:30, hotels by about 17:30. Phi Phi with Khai island: pickup 07:30, Chalong around 16:15. James Bond island: pickup 07:30–08:00, back on Phuket around 18:00. Rafting days: pickup 06:50, the minibus back at 16:30. Khao Lak safari: about ten hours. The two Phang Nga days run to different clocks, 06:30 to 17:30 against 07:30 to about 18:00; Samet Nangshe or James Bond island sets them side by side.

Which days are the longest?
The Similans: about twelve hours, pickup from 04:00 on the early boat. Cheow Lan lake: 06:00 to about 17:00 plus the drive, around two and a half hours each way. Secrets of Krabi: 05:00–06:00 to 17:40. The catamaran: pickup 06:30–07:30, back at 19:00. The Avatar world day: 07:00 to 19:00. The two Similan boats run only in season, from mid-October to mid-May on our cards: are the Similan Islands open. The eleven-islands day is the longest day trip we sell — the card says fourteen hours door to door, back at the hotel around 20:00. Whether those hours beat a shorter Phi Phi day is the question on eleven islands or Phi Phi. The shorter Khai island day is weighed on is the Phi Phi, Maya Bay and Khai speedboat worth it. Longer than any tour is a visa run: the Satun border run leaves around midnight and returns at about 3 pm, and it sits with the airport service on visa runs and airport fast track.
How long are the two-day trips?
Two days and one night. Phi Phi two days: pickup 06:50, back at the pier at 17:00 on day two. Four pearls: 06:50 pickup, back at 16:30 on day two. Five pearls: 06:00–06:30 pickup, back at 17:00 on day two. Where those nights are spent is on which hotel is on the Four Pearls tour.

How long do I spend on the islands themselves?
On a full sea day, around five hours on the water and the beaches; the road there and back takes the rest. The number of stops decides how long each one is: Racha and Coral gives you Patok Bay from 09:40 to noon and Coral island all afternoon, while the eleven-islands morning moves every ten to forty minutes.

How long are the land days?
Most run from an early pickup to late afternoon. Rafting and the elephant spa: 06:50 to a 16:30 departure from Phang Nga. The Khao Lak safari: around ten hours, heading back at 16:50. The Phang Nga and Samet Nangshe day: 06:30 to 17:30. Elephant beach and Mantra Spa: pickup 07:00–08:00, departure 18:00. Secrets of Krabi: 05:00–06:00 to 17:40. Which days are best when time is short?
With one afternoon: the jet ski tour (09:00–12:45) or the skywalk sunrise trip (back by 13:00). With one morning: Coral island from Rawai. With one day and energy: the eleven-islands run. With a spare day before the flight: none of the sea trips — keep it free in case of weather. For a three-day stay, three days in Phuket puts the trips in order. The dive day runs from a pickup between 07:00 and 07:45 to the hotel between 17:00 and 18:00: beginner dive day or snorkelling tour.
What time do the earliest trips start?
Before dawn. The skywalk sunrise collects at 03:45; Phi Phi at sunrise between 04:00 and 04:30; the early Similan boat between 04:00 and 05:00; Racha at sunrise between 04:30 and 05:00; Secrets of Krabi between 05:00 and 06:00. The upside of most sunrise trips is an early finish — 13:00 for the skywalk, 15:30 for the Phi Phi and Racha boats. Why is the day longer than the programme?
Pickups. The minivan collects several hotels, and the road to the pier takes half an hour to an hour and a half depending on where you stay. Then there is the briefing and boarding at the pier. On the way back, the drop-offs run in reverse — those furthest away get home last. The classic Similan day runs about twelve hours; with kids, the Similan islands with children shows where the breaks fall.
