Rafting and the elephant spa
Five kilometres of river, a cave temple with monkeys, bathing elephants and a waterfall
A day for getting wet and muddy without a boat in sight. It starts at a cave temple where a reclining Buddha lies under stalactites and the monkeys come down to meet the minibus, then moves to the river for five kilometres of rafting through the jungle with instructors on every raft. After lunch comes the elephant camp — mud, bathing and showering the elephants — and the day ends at a waterfall you can swim in.

Questions we get asked
How difficult is the rafting?
It is a mountain river with modest rapids, run in inflatable rafts with an instructor steering each one. No experience is needed, and the minimum age is six.
Do I choose between bathing the elephants and riding?
Yes, one programme is included and you pick which. The other can be added on the day for 300 ฿.
Is this a good rainy-day option?
It is one of the best. You are getting wet anyway, and none of it depends on the sea being open.
Is an English-speaking guide available on this tour?
Yes, the tour includes an English-speaking guide.
Are national park fees included in the price?
Yes, national park fees are included in the price.
Is hotel pickup from Patong included in the rafting and elephant spa tour?
Yes. Hotel transfer both ways is in the price, and this card lists no extra charge by area. Pickup starts at 06:50 with stops along the way; send your hotel in the chat and the time is confirmed for it.
Which Phuket rafting and elephant spa tours have no elephant riding or shows?
On this day you choose bathing instead of the ride, but the baby elephant show stays in the programme. If you want no riding at all, our elephant beach and Samet Nangshe day has none: the elephants are fed and go into the sea with you.
