What Is Included in the Price of a Phuket Tour?
By the PhuketGO tour desk on Phuket — we book and run these trips every week · Updated 28 September 2026
On our tours the price usually covers the hotel transfer both ways, the boat, lunch, snorkelling gear and life jackets, a guide and insurance. What is extra varies by trip — a park fee on two Phi Phi days, water sports on the beach, souvenirs — and every card lists both sides.

What is almost always included?
Transfer from the hotel and back (the jet ski tour is the exception). The boat or minibus for the route. Lunch on sea days — a buffet on shore, a meal on board, or, on the fishing boat, your own catch cooked for you. Masks, snorkels and life jackets on snorkelling trips. A guide. Insurance. On the two-day trips the hotel night, a dinner and a breakfast are included too; which hotel is on the Four Pearls tour names the one hotel our cards give. How the jet ski tour works for first-timers is on can beginners do the jet ski island tour.
Most sea days add drinking water, soft drinks and fruit on board, and most include the national park fees.
Each card lists them line by line.
What do people pay extra for?
Personal spending, souvenirs, extra drinks and alcohol. Tips for the guide and crew. Professional photo and video, on the trips that offer it.
And a few named extras on particular cards: the park fee on the Khai island and Bamboo fishing days (cash on the day), water sports on Coral island (paid to beach operators), the Phi Phi Don viewpoint ticket on Four and Five pearls (50 ฿), feeding the elephant on Secrets of Krabi (100 ฿), a second elephant ride on the rafting days (300 ฿), temple clothing hire where needed. How much that matters on the Khai island day is weighed on is the Phi Phi, Maya Bay and Khai speedboat worth it. On the rafting day without quads a second elephant programme is one of these extras; does the rafting, elephant and ATV tour include elephant bathing shows which jungle days already include a bath.
What is lunch like on a tour?
It depends on the trip, and each card says which. On Phi Phi with Khai island it is a buffet on shore with vegetarian dishes. On the classic Similan day, a Thai buffet on the boat: chicken, fish, vegetables, rice and fruit. On the James Bond island day, seafood at a restaurant on stilts. On the fishing boat, whatever you caught — grilled, as tom yum, as sashimi when the fish allows it.
Vegetarian, allergic or simply picky? Say so when booking. On an island there may be no alternative on the spot.
What is included on land days?
The same logic without the boat. The rafting days include transfer, a Thai lunch, the guide, medical insurance, national park fees, the rafting with equipment, helmets and life jackets, and one elephant programme. Secrets of Krabi includes park and cave tickets, the thermal springs, lunch, drinking water and towels for swimming. The sightseeing tour includes air-conditioned transport, the guide and insurance — but no drinks, so bring water. On the elephant beach and Mantra Spa day, the elephant programme, the Samet Nangshe viewpoint, lunch over the bay and entry to the spa are all included. What is free at the sightseeing stops, and what costs extra, is on Phuket sightseeing in half a day. The Krabi island day's list, coconut cocktail included, is on Krabi four islands tour from Phuket.
The Phang Nga days include the full elephant programme with a ride, the longtail, the Samet Nangshe viewpoint and a seafood lunch in the floating village. The full list for the glass-bridge day is on the Phang Nga skywalk card.
Is the transfer really included everywhere?
Almost. The jet ski tour meets at AA Marina pier with no transfer. On the Avatar world day the far north — Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao — costs 1,000 ฿ extra. The diving day includes transfer from Kata, Karon, Patong, Chalong, Rawai, Nai Harn and Kamala; other areas cost 1,400–2,400 ฿. The rest of what the dive day includes is on beginner scuba diving day trip.
The Similan trips and Cheow Lan lake also collect from Khao Lak. Details are on the hotel pickup page. What the early Similan ticket adds over the classic one is listed on is the early bird Similan tour worth the extra cost.
Are there differences between standard and Comfort+?
Yes: Comfort+ trips add things like coffee or breakfast at the pier, Wi-Fi and music on board, towels, and wine and ice cream on return. The route and the core inclusions stay the same. See what Comfort+ means for the full list by trip.
How do I pay for what is included?
In advance, for the whole trip: payment is agreed in the chat after the booking is confirmed, and the booking holds once it is paid in full. On the day, you only need cash for the extras listed on the card — nothing for the tour itself.
If a trip is cancelled because the sea is closed, it moves to another date or the payment comes back.
Where do I check a specific trip?
On its tour page, under 'Included' and 'Not included' — we list both, line by line. The park fees page covers the one extra people ask about most.
Still unsure? Send the tour name in the chat and ask 'what is extra?' — we will answer for that exact trip and date.
