How big are the groups?
Smallest: the Avatar world day, up to twelve; the diving day, up to ten. Up to twenty: Coral island from Rawai, the fishing boat, Elephant beach and Mantra Spa. Up to twenty-five: Four pearls. Up to thirty: the classic Similan day, the Phi Phi two-day trip, Cheow Lan lake, the Racha and Coral speedboat, the skywalk day in Phang Nga. Up to thirty-five: Phi Phi at sunrise, James Bond island. What does a group trip give you?
A programme that is already worked out: the pier, the order of stops around the tide, lunch, the park entry, a guide who has done the route many times. On a first visit that is usually the clearest way to see the main places in one day.
The trade-off is the shared timetable: the boat waits for everyone, and at each stop the guide gives one meeting time for the whole group.
Is there a private option?
The jet ski tour: four hours, nine islands north-east of Phuket, your own machine for the whole tour after a handling briefing. How can I get a quieter group trip?

Do group sizes change the day?
A little. Smaller groups board and regroup faster at each stop. Big land days of up to forty move by coach and still keep to the programme times.
On every size of trip, the guide gives one meeting time per stop; that is what keeps the day on schedule.
Are there quieter formats for families or couples?
Comfort+ trips add extras rather than privacy: coffee or breakfast at the pier, Wi-Fi, towels, wine and ice cream on return. The quietest programmes are the ones with the smallest caps and the least crowded hours — the Avatar day, the early Similan boat, the sunrise trips. What if our group is large?

Can we sit together on the boat?
Ask the crew at the pier — tell them you are one group, and arrive together so you board together. On the minivan the group is collected from several hotels, so seats there are shared.
