How the Krabi four islands day runs
For a sea day the start is relaxed. You're at the pier at 09:00 and the speedboat leaves at 10:00. Half an hour later you step onto Naka Yai, where you stay about ninety minutes. Pakbia follows at 12:40 for around forty minutes; when the water is out, its tidal maze turns into a walk on wet sand. At 13:30 you reach Hong island and stay about two hours, with a snorkel off the island at 15:40 and the climb to the viewpoint. Not the same Hong as the James Bond longtail day: the two Hong islands.
Lao Lading comes at 16:20 for about fifty minutes. At 17:50 you watch the sunset from a sandbar for around forty minutes, and at 18:30 the boat is back at the pier. The card adds that the programme shifts a little with the season and the time of sunset, and that the weather can change the order of the stops. Is it really a speedboat the whole way?
Yes, the Krabi four islands day is a speedboat day, from the pier on Phuket out to the islands and back. The hops are short: thirty minutes to the first island, and after that you move from one beach to the next rather than crossing open sea for hours.
