Hot Springs and Spa Days from Phuket
By the PhuketGO tour desk on Phuket — we book and run these trips every week · Updated 28 September 2026
Three of our days end or centre on warm water: Mantra Spa with mineral pools, herbal baths and mud after swimming with elephants; hot springs by the sea on Natai beach at the end of the Avatar world day; and the warm Emerald lake and hot waterfall in Krabi's forest. None of them needs a boat.

What is Mantra Spa?
The last stop on Elephant beach, Samet Nangshe and Mantra Spa, from 15:00 until departure at 18:00: mineral pools, herbal and tom yum baths, mud treatments, saunas, a lily lake and cafés, all in the open air. Entry is included. Before the spa, that day has lunch at Samet Nangshe at 13:30; the other times of day at the viewpoint are on Samet Nangshe at sunrise or in the afternoon.
Before it: the white temple at 09:30, the airplane beach at 11:00, feeding and swimming with elephants at 12:20, and lunch at the Samet Nangshe viewpoint at 13:30. Up to twenty people.
Bring a spare swimsuit for the drive back.
Where are the Natai hot springs?
At the end of the Avatar world day: the Hotspring Beach Resort on Natai beach at 17:30, with thermal pools around 40°C, a cold pool around 16°C, a freshwater pool, the beach and the sunset. Departure back is at 19:00. The card calls them the only real thermal springs in Phang Nga province. Earlier that day, at 11:00, you bathe an elephant; how that compares with the other jungle days is on does the rafting, elephant and ATV tour include elephant bathing.
Massage and spa treatments at the resort, and a private dinner on the beach, cost extra. The day before the springs is busy: elephants, bamboo rafting, ATV trails and a waterfall. Up to twelve people.
And the Krabi hot waterfall?
On Secrets of Krabi: a swim in the warm mineral water of the Emerald lake at 09:30, then at 10:50 a hot waterfall running out of the jungle, with natural thermal baths in the forest. Access to the springs and towels are included. The Tiger Cave temple follows after lunch. Krabi's island side is a different day: Krabi four islands tour from Phuket.
More on the lakes in Emerald lake, Krabi.
Which one should I choose?
For a slow, pampering day: Elephant beach and Mantra Spa. For an active day that ends softly: the Avatar world day, finishing in the springs at sunset. For warm water plus a temple and forest: Secrets of Krabi, with a very early start.
All three run whatever the sea is doing, which makes them good on rough days.
What else is on the Mantra Spa day?
The white temple at 09:30, reflected in the water. The airplane beach at 11:00, with aircraft passing just above the sand. Elephant beach at 12:20: feeding, then swimming with the elephants and time in the sea. Lunch at the Samet Nangshe viewpoint over Phang Nga Bay at 13:30. Then the spa from 15:00. Temples need covered shoulders and knees. Every tour in our catalogue runs with an English-speaking guide. That viewpoint is not the same as Beyond Skywalk; Samet Nangshe or Beyond Skywalk explains.
And on the Avatar world day?
Pickup at 07:00, the lily café at 08:30, the white temple at 09:30, bathing with an elephant and a baby elephant show at 11:00, Thai lunch at noon, the Samet viewpoint at 13:00, bamboo rafting at 15:00, ATV trails at 15:30, a waterfall at 16:50, and the springs at 17:30. All entrance fees in the programme are included; under-fours travel free.
Which is best with children?
The Avatar day is long, until 19:00, but full of variety; the Mantra Spa day is gentler; Secrets of Krabi has the earliest start and the steepest optional climb. The child price covers ages 4 to 9 on all three. Travelling with children? Is the Avatar world tour suitable for children covers the pools and the rest of the Avatar day.
Can I combine a spa day with the sea?
Not on the same day — all three are land days. Put one after a long boat day: the warm water and a slower pace are exactly what the body wants after a speedboat. They also make good backups when the sea is closed.
What does the Krabi day cost on the spot?
Very little: feeding the elephant is 100 ฿, a temple offering 50 ฿, and temple clothing hire if you need it. Park fees, Bang Khram tickets, the thermal springs, cave tickets, lunch, water and towels are all in the price. Check the current tour price in the table below.
After a speedboat day, the next morning is a good time for one of them.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, a towel (provided on the Krabi day), a change of clothes, sunscreen, and something that covers shoulders and knees for the temples on the Mantra Spa and Krabi days. On the Avatar day, clothes you do not mind getting muddy before the springs.
