Sunrise on the glass Skywalk and James Bond island
Beyond Skywalk at first light, a longtail boat in Phang Nga Bay, the airport beach and the lily café
This one starts in the dark and is over by early afternoon, which is exactly why people book it. You stand on a glass bridge above Phang Nga Bay while the sun comes up, have breakfast at the top with that view still in front of you, then go down to the water for a longtail boat through the caves and limestone islands, including the one from the Bond film. On the way back there is the beach where planes land directly overhead, and a café built around a pond of giant water lilies.

Questions we get asked
Is the glass bridge frightening?
It is a walkway with a glass floor and full railings, and you walk it at your own pace. People who dislike heights usually stay on the solid sections and still get the whole view of the bay.
Why so early?
The point of the trip is the sunrise from the bridge, and the drive to the viewpoint takes about two hours. Leaving later means arriving after the light has gone flat.
Does the boat land on James Bond island?
The island is seen from the water as part of the longtail route. The boat time is spent on the caves and the uninhabited islands of the bay.
